TPI Standards Development
The Truss Plate Institute is an accredited ANSI Standards developer and establishes design, construction, quality assurance, and testing methods for metal-plate-connected wood trusses following consensus procedures certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
As approved by ANSI, TPI's written procedures, "Project Committee Method to Achieve Consensus" (PCMAC), ensure that TPI standards have achieved general recognition, agreement, and acceptance for use as a national voluntary standard.
